Diwali or The Festival of Lights, is considered as the largest festival amongst Hindus in India. It is marked as the homecoming of Lord Rama after defeating the evil king Ravana. People celebrate this festival with great zeal and enthusiasm. It is one big festival where family re-unites with each other.
For many people living afar, it is difficult to be with their loved ones during this time. So, they celebrate Diwali with their friends and family. Many Indian cultural groups open-up various booths for food, clothing and gifts to celebrate this occasion. People from all walks of life join in this festival and love to purchase Indian ethnic items; especially Indian sweets.., they just love it. In fact in USA, celebration of Diwali is so widespread that even the country’s administration sends Diwali greeting messages.
